16/02/2008 - David Lloyd to build Absolute Sea Pearl Villas and Spa Resort in Phuket.

David Lloyd, the former Wimbledon tennis champion and now property developer, has officially entered the Thailand property market with the launch of a new billion Baht luxury villa, condo and sports club near Patong in Phuket. The project is a joint venture between Lloyd, Sea Pearl Business Company and the Absolute Group and will be called Absolute Sea Pearl Villas and Spa Resort.

This is the British group’s first venture in Thailand.  It currently operates 87 sports complexes around the world, in locations as diverse as the UK, Dubai and Barbados.

The project will be built on 38 rai of land on Patong Hill with ocean views over Patong Bay. There will be 36 villas and 48 condominiums with prices starting from 15 million Thai Baht.

"The project will be a fantastic 5-star resort" said Lloyd. "It will be very special. When I saw the land I fell in love straight away."

A David Lloyd sports complex will be located on 16,000m2 of land in front of the residential development and will be the first of it´s kind in Phuket.

Absolute Sea Pearl Villas and Spa Resort has been designed to meet the growing demand for mixed-use and branded resorts where each property is privately owned but still has the advantage of being a professionally managed resort offering buyers a rental return on their investment.
