Phuket has a modern International Airport which supports thousands of direct and connecting flights every year. The airport, located in the north of the island, is only a short distance from most of the major resorts and has excellent connecting roads. Airport limos and rent a car is widely available at the airport from reputable companies.


Travelling around Asia s quick and easy with major airlines such as Thai Airways, Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines all flying direct to Phuket. Other low cost carriers also operate from Phuket making short breaks to other parts of Thailand or neighbouring countries convenient and inexpensive.

Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur are only about 1 hour away
Singapore is 1.5 hours
Hong Kong is 3.5 hours
Tokyo is 8 hours
Sydney is 10 hours
London is 13 hours and
Los Angeles 17 hours.

Phuket by road

Phuket is connected to the Thailand mainland by means of the Sarasin bridge. The bridge was constructed in 1967 and is 1200m in length. Bangkok is 885km north of Phuket and the journey takes around 8 hours, passing through some splendid countryside along the way. Government run buses operate frequently between Bangkok and Phuket and there are also many private tour operators offering luxury coach travel to and from the province.

Phuket by Sea

Phuket is quickly becoming a haven for yacht owners and the many marinas on the island offer excellent anchorage and facilities. Customs and immigration are located on the southern tip of the island at Chalong bay, mooring is available in Chalong and at several marinas along the East coast including the world renowned Royal Phuket Marina.
